He was born in the year 1969 in Accra, Ghana. He is an alumni of Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS).Patrick Addai, Ghanaian children's book author at the Bundesgartenschau, Federal Garden Show, BUGA 2011, Koblenz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, Europe.

He is considered the best African writer living in Europe (Adler Award 2006)
